PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
Mega expansion.
The Taif project.
Approximately 10 million m² (1,000 ha) of integrated agricultural development, focused on high-value local production and reducing dependence on imports.
TAIF PROJECT PLAN
Taif: main development.
- 72 ha high-tech greenhouses.
- 135 ha vegetable net houses and 282 ha grape net houses.
- Large-scale phased open-field production.
- 10 ha commercial nursery and 5 ha sorting, packing and storage.
- 30 ha solar energy and 10 ha eco-tourism.
- Plantation program: 400,000 grape vines, 500,000 pomegranate trees and 1,000,000 windbreak and fencing trees — approximately 2 million trees and vines.
- Main crops: pomegranates, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, iceberg lettuce, potatoes, carrots, onions, and premium vegetables and fruits.
